What are HTTP and HTTPS?
You must have seen HTTP in a blog and website, HTTPS in some, then what is both of these. so let’s know
The full name of HTTP is HyperText Transfer Protocol. It is a type of network protocol. Which is used on the website next to the World Wide Web (WWW).
Its job is for the user to establish a connection between the servers. So that information can be exchanged between the user and the server. Through this, the exchange of information takes place through a common medium.
Any hacker can steal this information. Because of this, this protocol is not completely secure. Therefore, any website that uses this protocol should not use any of its confidential information.
The full name of HTTPS is HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure. It is also a type of network protocol itself. Which is used on the website next to the World Wide Web (WWW).
HTTPS also does the same thing as HTTP. But HTTPS is completely secure. As its full name suggests. It works through encryption rather than the normal medium between the user and the server.
Due to encryption, information is exchanged secretly. Which not everyone can read or understand. Due to this, the website becomes secure and it is difficult to steal information.
Earlier HTTPS was used only by e-commerce websites. But now all blogs and websites are using HTTPS. This makes the website secure, and fast and also increases traffic to the blog and website.
HTTP is automatically implemented in the website. But SSL certificate is required to install HTTPS. Which is bought from companies like GeoTrust, Let’s Encrypt, etc.
what is the difference between http and https
As we have learned a lot of information about HTTP and HTTPS. Now let us also know the difference between these two. With this, one can fully understand which of the two is better.
